Who is the Natural Horse Company?
The Natural Horse Company is a family business run by Rachel Bedingfield and Hannah Dawson who live in North Yorkshire with their 7 horses. As mother and daughter, running a business together is challenging but successful as they both have different strengths and skills to bring to it. Their main aim, to help horses and their owners, is one thing they definitely agree on!
What do you do?
The Company is split into 4 main areas:
The Natural Horse Shop which supplies Simple System feeds to the North East of England as well as some other great products we like. Rachel is very knowledgable on the digestive system and diet related problems and solutions so get in touch with any queries you may have!
Equine Bodywork. Hannah is a qualified Practitioner in Equine Touch, a soft-tissue discipline which helps to release muscles, improve movement, promote healing thourghout the body and reduce the pain spiral. This is the first thing to check out if you have any behavioural problems to eliminate pain from the equation.
Ride From Within. James Shaw teaches Tai Chi for the Equestrian which is a fantastic technique to help you become aware of your own body and how you influence your horse. Following these principles leads to massive changes in your riding and your connection with your horse, from nervous beginners to advanced dressage riders. James lives in Arizona and comes to Blighty 2-3 times a year and Rachel is responsible for organising his UK schedule.
Clicker Training. Hannah and Rachel teach clicker training workshops and private lessons. It is a positive reinforcement training method which can be used to teach your horse anything, from tackling behavioural problems such as agression, bucking and loading to improving your dressage and jumping.
These combine to provide a complete, holistic service for you and your horse.
Where is your shop?
We run a virtual shop from our home, so I'm afraid you can't come to browse or collect. We run a delivery service in the north of England based on postcode areas and a mail-order service.
